Default kinda like nutella!

Just an interesting idea. As I understand it, organic peanut butter's fats are better for you than regular Skippy-type PB fat? Anyway, if peanut butter is tolerable for your diet, try:

Lite cool whip ~2 big spoonfuls, YMMV
1 scoop ON protein powder
2 tbsp organic peanut butter

Put the cool whip in a bowl, microwave on high for ~14 seconds, then put in powder and stir until it becomes liquidy and they're fully mixed. Then, one at a time, stir in 2 tbsp organic peanut butter (organic since it flows more and could probably stir a little easier) into bowl until well mixed.

Problem is you're worrying about fats and then you're adding cool whip, which is made with trans fats.

If you lift a little pink dumbell 300 times...toward the end it will "feel" intense. If you think it IS intense, then you need a better defintion of intensity.

but the lite stuff has 0 trans and 1 gram of sat. fats. in a 9 gm serving. Don't know what that translates to in scoops.

It's an interesting idea. I don't know if I'll ever try it.

Huh??

Don't tell me you're pouring off the oil.

All the natty pb's I've ever eaten have been creamier (less dry) than the processed junk.

The lite stuff, as Dave said, is pretty okay. I've also done this same thing without the cool whip (stir powder into PB), which is basically just really grainy. I figured I'd add the cool whip to make it smoother. Is the cool whip (assuming lite) really a big problem?

Yeah, I guess nutella is hazelnut. I haven't had it in a really long time and I just remember it looking similar to what this ends up looking like. My bad.

Got to agree here. 'S why it works well for this.

So, in general, taste aside, does this hold up as far as nutrition? I guess I didn't do my math quite right.

As far as nutrition...

What's the cal breakdowns on the cool whip? I'm too lazy to try and look it up

The PP and PB mix is pretty much one of my in season daily meals (well, only 10g of PB, not a full 2 Tbsp). So depending on the macros of the cool whip, nutritionally it's probably not bad.

btw....

1 sc ON Choco PP mixed in a small container (like small micro safe tupperware) with about 2 tbsp water (til it's about the consistency of brownie batter). Microwave for about 20-30 seconds til it starts to rise. Spread over the top: PB mixed with either a touch of Splenda/Stevia or SF hazelnut syrup (hazelnut syrup gives the PB that nutella taste). Let sit for a couple minutes to cool. EAT!!

Either that or you're actually buying rubber cement.

IK: thanks for the input. That sounds pretty excellent actually, I'm gonna try that sometime today. And the cool whip breaks down like so:

Cals 15
Fat 0g
Cholest. 0g
Sodium 5mg
Carbs 3g
---Sugars 1g
Protein 0g

So there's really not a whole lot to it, which is why I thought it was a good idea. Yours sounds way better though!

Well, honestly I don't think the cool whip is a big deal I just think it's silly to worry about the difference between organic and reg peanut butter and then use something like cool whip. I take it you mean "natty" peanut butter versus "organic" since they are not necessarily the same thing.

As far as the trans fat if you look at you typical jar of regular PB it contains about the same amount of fats as a jar of natty and O GRAMS TRANS FAT. Course it's the added sugar and trans fat that makes us avoid the reular peanut butter. Now you guys are saying that lite cool whip has O grams of trans fat..meaning less than one gram...but you're negating one reason not to use regualar peanut butter plus the primary ingredients in cool whip which are high fructose corn syrup, etc. In effect I don't see the point of embracing cool whip as an added ingredient but everyone preaching natty pb.

May as well just add regular PB to PP or use one of the new types with a little palm oil added, which is not big deal they just require no mixing. That will still be "healthier" than the cool whip. Not that that little amount of cool whip is a big deal. My point is only that this concoction is no more healthy than the same concoction made with reg pb without the cool whip, assuming that would mix better.

I don't think the recipe is all that bad or anything. It's just that you are worried about using natty over regular PB and then you are adding something that basically makes it the same thing.
