| THE BEST AND CHEAPEST WEIGHT GAINER ...................................CAL....PRO....C AR....FAT protein shake.................260......55.....4.........2 Oatmeal (120G)..............350......17....67........7 1 large banana (175G).....105........1....27........0 16oz 2%milk...................280......20.....30....... 10 natty Peanut butter........190........7.....15.......12 Total...........................1185......96....15 8......31 the protein shake used is pro complex. ( if you use 100% whey the cost per serving will be cheaper. cost per serving protein: $1.42 oatmeal: $.15 banana: $.13 milk: $.82 PB: $.32 Total $2.84 (price of blener not included!) all this food is bought from Sams club/Bulk Nutrition N-large 2 cost per serving: $3.45 only 52 grams protein only 86 grams carbs and only 600 calories.. it also has maltodextrin. it also only has one source of protein Whey Protein Concentrate. the pro complex alone has: Whey Protein Isolates, Whey Protein Concentrate, Egg Albumen and Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides. the protein shake i posted is also better because it uses oatmeal as its main source of carbs which has a low glycemic index, meaning that it wont spike your insulin and turn straight to fat. also the main ingrediants are food! if you would like more calories just add more oats or milk or pb. or take away if you want less. also if for some reason you have a hard time with digesting oats or just dont like them. you can also put cooked brown rice in there are even your favorite whole wheat or whole grain cereal. also by having the oatmeal in there you end up chewing the shake as you drink it which makes you produce more saliva which will help to break down the food quicker so your stomach acids wont have to do all the work. no this shake will not make you gain 1 pound of muscle a week. but it will provide for you alot of extra clean calories. If you can find it, look up Mochi, a japanese rice cake kinda thing. I rememberes this when looking at the brown rice. http://japanesefood.about.com/librar.../aa011303a.htm This stuff is excellent. Bake it up crispy, then grind it up using a blender and add to shake........ cook it so it is easy to use. When you buy it it is a hard pastry like block. I would recommend the cinnamon to add with pb for a shake. |
