how do you make sure that when you lose weight it is fat and not water or muscle?

The bad news is that you cannot spot reduce fat. Keep hydrated and pump good nutrients, not empty calories through your system.

Eat more protein when cutting to reduce muscle loss.

The main way to make sure is to lift weights. According to the research muscles that are exercised regularly don't shrink. That and use a reasonable calorie deficit. Do these two things and you'll be fine.

I have been used many supplements but cant lose few pounds from them. What to do now? i am 25 yrs and have a baby...

You need to focus on what kind of food you are eating and not so much thr supplements
