Does this make sense?
I recently picked up some Flaxseed Oil so I had good fats in my diet - fitday.com indicated I was getting good numbers for carbs and protein but not enough fats.
At the same time I've had good results in the short time I've used Cytolean - http://www.netnutri.com/browse.cfm/4,3170.htm they have nutri facts at the bottom - as a side-along to my HIIT and diet.
So my question is - is this a contradiction in terms? Is it inadvisable to take both a fat burner and flaxseed oil as they serve opposite functions? The way I was figuring it (and this could be totally wrong hence my asking) was that since your body will become catabolic more easily without proper EFAs, I could use the oil to prevent catabolism so the Cytolean worked more effectively.
Does that make sense?

They really dont serve oposite purposes Cradler, in fact they work very well together. Flax seed oil is an EFA rich fat (omega-3 to be exact). What supplimenting with omega-3 will do is balance the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio in cells, causing activation at the PPARalpha and Gama receptor sites, and causing fat breakdown.
this alone may not be enough, as fat cells that are released to be used as energy, may be easily redeposited if not used. Thats where your fat burner comes in. With both fat oxidation happening, and an increase in metabolic rate, you can burn off those freed up fat cells more easily.
Personally I think fish oil is a better choice, but thats just personal opinion. On the same note, I think cytolean is not the best fat burner out. But if its working for you, stick with it.
CytoLean probably isn't, I've heard better things about Leviathan. I am seeing good results with the CytoLean, very good in fact, but it probably isn't optimal, no.
And I had a feeling those would work somewhat well together but I wanted to ask. Thanks a lot!
No problem, Cradler, I'm also a big fan of sesamin products, for the same reason as fish oil/flaxseed. They really go well together, and are great for overall health as well as body composition.
im pretty sure those types of fats are converted to heat and don't go to fat stores (and may actually enhance fat burning)... it may "slow" down the fatburners as the fats are metabolized, but IMO the healthy benefits far outway any negatives you'd see in the realm of inhibiting fat burning.
