you lost muscle.

i don't know enough about dieting....but from what i have read, you are supposed to lose no more than 2 lbs per week. and those people that do lose 2 lbs a week try and make it mostly fat loss and are usually damn knowledgeable in this area.

for you to have lost 7 lbs (i am assuming you did this intentionally aka you are "cutting") you must've messed up on your eating.

i read somewhere that to minimize muscle loss you should eat a high does of protein. this guy who went from powerlifting to bodybuilding, managed to conitnue to increase his strength pre-contest by consuming a huge amount of protein.

to lose 7 lbs in 1 week is no joke. thats a lot of weight and i think most of the nutrition experts here will say that thats unhealthy.

Wolf makes good points.

I'm going to come at it from a different view point.

When you measure yourself is it at the same time of day in the same condition you were in last time, i.e., just wearing shorts or shoes are off, etc.?
I like to weigh myself right in the morning when I wake up on Saturdays, before the weekend fun , with only shorts on. This way I know that I have a constant that I can take from. What you don't want to do is measure one day right after you eat and then the next time you do it in the morning after fasting.

Also, how old is your clapper and how many measurements do you make? Sometimes an old clapper can mess up everything. Also, what is the method that you measure? I usually do a 3 spot measurement as my constant and measure each spot 3 time, Chest, abs, thigh, repeat. You have to remember that ever time you pinch to get a measurement, the skin doesn't always go back right away and if you measure 3 time in the same location in a row it could throw off the numbers. Every once in a while I'll do a 7 point measurement when I have my woman around and she can get those hard to reach places. ;) j/k
