pro's and con's of cardio wearing a garbage bag
i have been runnin/jogging about four miles a day and starting putting a garbage bag on under my sweaters and pull over just wandering the pro's and con's or if it even helps in the weight loss adventure thanks
It won't help you lose any fat. At all. It's just dangerous. There is absolutely no benefit to doing that if your goal is fat loss.
That's an old (and stupid) trick for shedding water. And there are much better ways to do it.
In terms of speeding up fat loss, it doesn't really do anything.
Flat out, it's dangerous.
People have ended up in the emergency room doing that.
As long as you keep hydrated you should be fine.
I do the same wear trash bags under heavy clothes with a winter hat. This WILL make you loose excess water retension, but not fat.
Just keep hydrated and you will be fine.
If you want to lose "quick" weight (water weight) - then you're doing it right. You're not losing any fat and this practice should only be done if:
A) You are trying to get "cut".
B) You're losing weight for wrestling or some other type of weight-based sport.
I do not endorse any of these practices
I wouldn't say those are the only reasons why you can use this method.
I have quite a bit of extra water retention due to inactivity lately.
Loosing water will make you slimmer and lighter.
Once the "excess" water weight is sweated out then I would stop with the trash bags and just work on burning the excess body fat.
^^^ Why not wait a day and let your body regulate itself?
