Staying on high protien ,low carbs and fat diet forever?

I have posted my diet on another forum I will copy and paste into this post. I a curious if It is bad to stay on my diet forever, I do not have any problem eating the way i do and accept and embrace it as a way of life. I do up my carbs on wed by about 30-40 grams to keep my body effieciently burning fat, and I have my sunday which I eat whatever I want, to a degree i do not go crazy but use it to indulge in some candy and whatever food I want to eat. I am 6'1, 185 , approx 9% body fat. I am trying to get to 4 or 5 %, whatever the number is to look the way I want, and just keep it there while I continue to build muscle over time.

I have been on this diet for about 5 months, and I am seeing amazing results, I am geting more muscular and can see myself geting leaner. I up my carbs midweek by approx 50 grams to keep my lepitin levels guessing, and on sunday I eat whatever I want. I want to know what people think of my diet and if anyone thinks I can tweek it better.
I stoped takin Lipo-6 for a week and now I take Meta burn xp http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mrm/meta.html on empty stomach with bcaa's before i go running. I also am talkin GH-Stak before I go to bed (http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ml/gh.html I am also thinking of replacing the second serving of cottage cheese with chicken breast or salmon, something without dairy because I am feeling the dairy is hindering my fat loss. What do you guys think?

IMO, you're looking nice and trim as of now. Add on extra muscle if you want to look "more cut". Unfortunately, everyone on the magazine covers are 4-5% fat, but that's only for the shoot/comp. It's very dangerous!! Realistically, if you were down to 8% bf (which is awesome), adding more muscle to your frame should be the goal.

no one stays at 4-5% for an extended amount of time. It honestly just isnt healthy in any way. If you are already at 9%, I cant see why you would want to lose anymore. But if you are looking to go to competition, or make a mag cover look into the UD2 by lyle mcdonald.

I like your diet plan. Is that what you eat every day or do you vary the types of food each day or week etc. Seems like it would get boring day after day. Also I realized that I don't eat nearly enough meals a day. I too am tying to get cut and gain muscle mass.

hrdgain its funny you mention that because i just was reading into that book on lyle's website. But i think with my diet I have to just be patient because I am seeing more definition as well as more muscle mass. I have been reading about diff fitness models diets and activity levels and it seems they keep their figure year round, I got my body fat tested at gym on a handheld machine, the one that passes the current through the body, i do not know how accurate that is because I feel like i have a lot of work left to do.LOL, I can see my abs and I have a "6" pack but I want the eight and I can still grab a chunk off my abdominal, and my lower back. That is why I think I need to decrease the percentage.I am skeptical to buy his book. What have you heard about it.

Regarding Macs comment, I eat that everyday , on wed i add some brown rice or a piece of multigrain bread or another serving of oatmeal, as far as the extra carbs on wed I do what i feel like, and on sunday i go kinda crazy, i look forward to sundays because i can do whatever to a degree, i eat whatever but try not to get full at my meals. I enjoy the structure of the diet and because I know what i am doing with my body the lifestyle does not bother me anymore at all.

That's the dedication that I need to achieve those same goals. I admire your dedication. Do you think those supplements make that much difference?? The only suppls that I usually take is a multi vitamin, bcaa's, and creatine. Maybe that's why I'm not seeing the results as fast as I would like

Well IMO lyle is the best out there. A good buddy of mine uses the ud2 to get lean before he shoots, and he has been in several mags. I've seen it work, and with the proper dedication that diet is spot on.

I havent personally used it as of yet. I dont have a need to get down to sub 10% bf. I may use it one day, if i decide that being in a mag is important to me, but somehow i dont see that happening.

I've done his UD2.0 and lost almost 3% with no muscle loss. It'll be the best $20 you ever spent. If you have any questions, pm me.

BTW, I had a journal while doing this, UD2.0, in the journal section. Skim through it and you'll at least get the general idea behind the program.
