Why cardio???

I will begin cutting shortly. However, due to final exams etc, I will have to supplement my studying with adderall. Helps me study, but screws up my appetite. It also prevents me from doing cardio. Is there any way I can get cut without any cardio and take advantage of my loss of appetite?

Yeah...create a caloric deficit.

Depends on where you're currently at. You're really gonna have to dip low on the overall cals per day (in the absence of cardio). The problem with that is that it'll eventually shut down your thyroid production (which is why starvation diets never work). Without eating or cardio, I envision you being able to lose a quick 5-10 pounds of water, then a long plateau..

It also depends on if you're serious about cutting in general. Is there any way you could study w/ a Red Bull instead lol?

Reason being, in a perfect world, your attention must first turn to cardio, THEN deducting cals from your diet while keeping training the exact same. Some start deducting 250 per week, others up to 500. Volume could be lowered if you are feeling gassed, but keep it heavy at whatever rep range you're doing. Fat loss is a very long process if you're concerned with preserving muscle and strength.. Too many variables. Sometimes the scale won't move, but the mirror and tape measure shows progress, and visa versa.

The sum total I'd recommend you do is to focus completely on your studying, and worry about losing bodyfat when you have the commitment to do so.
