Default Calculating Fat Loss

I'm currently 6'2, weigh about 175 lbs., but I'm still around 14% bf and want to get to about 5% bf eventually. I just finally got my gym membership, I'm pretty familiar with weights and machines, and I'm looking to build muscle and strength as I burn fat. So i figured my RMR was somewhere around 2920, and I'm planning on taking in at least 3000 calories a day. Since fat is 3500 calories per pound, is it as simple as multiplying ...

my body weight x my bf percentage = weight in fat
175 x .14 = 24.5 lbs

then ...

weight in fat x calories per pound of fat = calories in fat
24.5 x 3500 = 85750 calories in fat

So do I just eventually need to accumulate a caloric deficit of 85750 to ultimately reach 0% bf? If that's even possible. That math just didn't seem correct to me . By the way, I play basketball all the time so that's my cardio and I work out all different muscle groups 4-5 times a week.
