Come on now, that's when I'm my most active....

I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

I combine my protein and carbs before going to bed because I think it maintains your muscles while you are fasting...

Am I wrong here?

it depends on what kind and how much. combining protein and carbs can give you an insulin spike and that is what you DON'T want before bed. But yet again it depends on what types of carbs you eat.

I used to think that you shouldn't eat carbs right before bed, too. But now I'm not so sure about that anymore.
Look for example guys that are doing IF - they eat their biggest meal right before they go to bad and they are losing fat on it, go figure.
So now I'm pretty sure it doesn't really matter when you eat whatever and in how many meals you eat it. In the end, it all just gets down to how much calories you ingested vs. how much calories you burned and that's the whole magic to it.
