Default cardio everyday?

i like runing to do my cardio, but even though the recomended cardio is like 3-4 times a week, i like to do more. i basically do it everyday now. is that a bad thing? is it going to hurt me somehow with my lifting? when i ran track i used to run a couple times a day. i plan on mixing it up though, like runing somedays, sprinting others, regular cardio other days. i mainly want to be in good cardiovascular health because i like being able to sprint somewhere and not feeling like i'm going to die after lol. my question is, will this help me shred a lil extra fat too? or am i just going to be in good runing health?

Too much aerobic exercise can lead to catabolism, which results in tissue breakdown (loss of muscle). Sprinting works differently, though - being anaerobic, it leads to breakdown of fats and a higher metabolism. What exactly IS your workout schedule - how much running (and how far) versus how much sprinting, etc.? If you're doing cardio every day, there's a good chance that there is some catabolism taking place.

i use a heart rate monitor and run for 20 min in my high zone. i wanted to start sprinting, but honestly i just havent found a sprinting routine yet. but what about sprinting everyday, would that hurt me? whats the most you can do cardio a week without it hurting you? i like being active besides just lifting.

You need muscle recovery time after doing sprints. So doing them every day would be a bit much. Especially if you're doing any other leg training.
