Default Im new and have ?'s

Hello All,
I am new and have a few questions because i dont think i know what i am doing. Here are the stats i know about me.
Im 25, 6'0. 180 Ibs. dont know my body fat %. Everyone tells me im skinny but i dont see it. I want to be cut and muscular without being bulky looking. I see all the soft spots in my abs and chest that i want to fix but think i am going about it the wrong way. I have limited access to a gym at my apartment building. I have no means of getting free weights so right now I work out Monday thru Sat. and 6pm every night alternating days between the treadmill 35 minutes of cardio at 7mph burning about 500 cal on cardio days. And using the machines to lift weights on other days. I dont know the exact pounds i can lift cause the machines go by numbers and im up to 10 now for shoulders, and chest, and pulldowns, and 6 on tri, and biceps. I dont have the resources to buy the types of foods to eat but i do try as best i can to watch what i eat. and take a multi vitamin. As you can tell its probably tons of stuff that im doing wrong but i would like to know exactly what i can do to get the results im looking for. I would like to lose about 10 Ibs of body fat and get cut so i have more definition instead of softness. Im not flabby or have any rolls Im just soft. I would like to be hard.

Have You Read Any Of The Stickies ?

TALO's Sig:"But when do you actually grow? Well, we don't grow in the gym. In the gym, we destroy. We tear down the body. We only grow when we are recovering. That's right, I said recovery. I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

I'd recommend reading the stickies as well. They helped me.

Also, free weights tend to be readily available. Someone you know has a bench and some steel plates sitting in a basement that have done nothing but collect dust for years. If not, hit the bargain papers and local classifieds. People burn out on training all the time and you can usually get the stuff their wives want the fuck out of the house for next to nothing.
