Default Questions

Hello to all, newb on the forum with a few questions on fat loss. First off I have had a weight issue for a while. I was moderately overweight through high school and when I turned 17 I started working out everyday and lost around 30 lbs. I worked out 5 days a week for 3 years until I got married then I just quit (no reason other than I got lazy) The problem is that when I stopped I gained around 60 lbs. in 6 months. That was about a year and a half ago. Since then I have lost 25 lbs. so I am around 220-225 depending on time of day (also 5'11). I have hit a plateau though and havent lost anything for around 2 months. I try to hit the treadmill a couple times a week but I'm a paramedic so I am sitting on my ass a lot. Can anyone maybe give me some tips to get off the plateau?? I have thought about using supplements to get a jump start but I dont know. Thanks for the help in advance.

woo, guess it depends on what the wife cooks. At home I usually dont eat breakfast (just coffee), eat a small lunch which usually includes a salad or just red meat and maybe some vegetables and supper which is usually chicken breast or red meat with vegetables. At work I usually eat breakfast (2 eggs and a piece of link sausage)coffee, skip lunch or trade it for a protein shake and what ever I have time for at supper. I have been trying to stay away from burgers, breads and fast food. I only drink diet pepsi, coke zero, coffee or water. I have been cutting portion sizes by limiting to only one plate and not letting my wife fix it (she heaps it on). I have also been trying to drink water if I get hungry. Thanks for the help!

I say this in the nicest possible way. Your diet sux. Your not eating enough and your food choices need improvement. But not eating enough is mainly why you can't lose weight.

You should be eating 5-6 meals a day and never skip breakfast. Your meals need to be planned out in order to lose weight and maintain muscle.
