Default Thermogenics - Do they work?

I was looking at different thermogenic products and I was wondering if anyone else is taking any and if they really work? Thanks.

I've taken a few different kinds. Some I'll say are simply an energy boost for me. And others I can say do seem to help with a little extra cal burn.

BUT you have to keep in mind that a thermo doesn't just target burning fat. Primarily it's a bit of a metabolic boost. So if your diet and training aren't right, you're not going to burn off what you want to burn off; meaning if you aren't on par with everything else like you should be, you run the risk of burning off muscle over long periods of time taking those kinds of products.

Overall, I'd say treat them simply as an energy boost for your workouts, and especially don't expect them to be a 'miracle' pill. But if you have the money to spend on them, and you have everything else with your regimines in line, give it a try.

If your going to use a stimulant fat burner, I would suggest cycling it so you dont kill your adrenals. There has been a lot of discussion about adrenal fatique and if it actually exists, I'd err on the side of caution, two weeks on, two weeks off if taken every day.

No stim thermo's, do what you will with.

I've picked up some Venom Hyperdrive and it's a fun ride lol. I cycle mine in a 5 on, 2 off fashion. I agree with Matt that you definately need to cycle the stims.

I would say for raising metabolism, nothing beats the simple forskolin and green tea combo which is working like a charm for me!

...to lose muscle mass lol! I've dropped 3 pounds a week for the past few weeks with 2800 cals and walking three days a week between HEAVY powerbuilding sessions.

A "shit load of cardio" is great if you hate muscle. The diet part is extremely important. Most thermogenics are not diuretics (I can't think of any that are off hand). If you're caffeine sensitive, then they can be bad. Especially if they're taken in the afternoon or evening. Just taking a fat burner will not make you weaker. Thermogenics have been proven to work for many different people. Some respond better than others. They are most effective when coupled with cardio.

EDIT: Sorry 0311, didn't see that you were posting also.
