Gender: | I'm not sure if there is anything you can do to prevent them besides growing slower, but using something like cocoa butter when they are new will help to fade them out. |

Gender: | Years ago I remember there being product(s) that were supposed to help with the skin's elasticity. There are also some products that are supposed to help heal them. Try doing some searches with "stretch marks" in the keyword phrase. Stretch marks are kind of my battle scars. They can be irritating, but I feel some pride in having them. Troy |

Gender: | Like Sleazy said, growing slower is the best way to prevent them. But being that that's not all that easy to monitor (you don't know if you're growing too fast until the stretch marks show up) there are other ways to help... Keep very well hydrated. Skin cells need water. Take Vitamin E. One tab a day should be good. Also, take Vitamin C. Antioxidants are your friend. Lotions are good as a prevention too. Try to avoid the ones that have a lot of alcohol in them. Most lotions do, surprisingly. Check the ingredients, and if alcohol is one of the top listed, don't use it. |

Gender: | Just like that could baby oil be good? I also assume that in the pregnancy section of a pharmacie there would be products for that, since the skin extends alot during pregnancy??? |

Gender: | I was just gonna create a thread asking for this kind of advice. I've got a ton of them, 1 set (horizontally across lower/mid back) is from a growth spurt where I grew a foot in 2 months and the 2nd set (posterior deltoids right by armpits and below lats) is from lifting. Plus a new one has just popped up on the front of my right shoulder I don't like them but I guess it's kind of a compliment that I'm growing out of my skin ![]() They are a huge eyesore and although I think they've stopped getting much bigger, I have a feeling they may keep going. I've been putting vitamin E lotion on them lately, that's prevention though, and I'd like to eradicate all of them |
