Thumbs up aloha!

Just a few moments to introduce myself. I've been lifting now for over 20 years started young for sports and noticed I really liked it. Not only did I start making gains, but noticed when I was working out nothing and no one else mattered for 2 hrs, anyway. besides the euphoric feeling women really began paying me more attention and that was the iceing on the cake! Then I joined the Marine Corps.(like an idiot) and thats when the therapeutics really helped. Then in 91 when we had the 1st Gulf war began I was in good shape 6'1" 220 But,because I have bad luck I was critically Injured taking shrapnel in several locations arms, chest but the major and most severe was my cerebellum. I still have retaind fragment in my chest and cerebellum along with motor skill problems on my right side, numbness on my left side, balance problems, speech problems, can no longer play any sport, except for my love of lifting weights. When Im in the gym I feel like my old self, still strong and over the years was able to build myself back up, now I'm230lbs of muscle, and to look at me you wouldn't think I was injured only when we began to talk you would hear my injury. Sorry that was a little more than just hi. But, I just want to express the true love i have for lifting and the benefits it has 4 me.I will be lifting until I can no longer grip a bb or db. And it's a great feeling to be part of this board with people of all genders who have the same love as I for the sport. peace.

TALO's Sig:"But when do you actually grow? Well, we don't grow in the gym. In the gym, we destroy. We tear down the body. We only grow when we are recovering. That's right, I said recovery. I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"
