Default New guy on the block

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself here. My name is Aaron and I'm currently in rehab after an arm surgery which has kept me from lifting now for 6 months! I am just now getting back into the gym and my supplementation. I hope I can be of some help to others as well as get some help from everyone as well. I hope we can all work together to better ourselves! See ya on the boards...

welcome..

sorry for the injury and all the best in your journey to recover...

it would be nice though if you posted what your stats were before the injury, how old you are, how many years experience you have, etc, etc, etc...

Thank you for the best wishes. It will be a very long road to recovery but I'm on track and cant wait to obtain my goals. Sorry for no stats, I'll try to fill them in now.

Prior to surgery:
25yrs old
7 yrs lifting (off and on mostly)
5'11''
178lbs
16% BF

Let me know if there's anything else.......

Thanks for the welcome. My injury came from my last yr of college ball. I am (was) a pitcher and I blew out my MCL in my elbow. I had to have Tommy John Surgery... which is FULL lig reconstruction.

The rehab is going well so far. I'm a couple months in so I am just about ready to start lifting "solid" weight again. I also will be starting my first phase of throwing again after the 1st of the yr. Wish me luck...

but, tell me something: how long is it supposed to take you to fully recover..? sorry for my ignorance but i have no idea what your injury is (i know you described it, but i have no idea what it really is)...

and when do you plan on beginning a complete cycle...?

all the best with the speedy recovery...

Well lets see here... If I have NO problems what-so-ever and everything goes according to plan, I should be fully recovered in about a year. I plan on being able to throw full effort once more by 2007. As for lifting though, I should be back on track lifting heavy by this spring. Its not ignorance bro, not too many people are familiar with these types of injuries, so I'll explain anything you want me too... I dont mind. ;) I basically tore my lig completely off the bone while throwing a baseball. I had to have a tendon from my wrist replace it. The good thing about this type of surgery is that I'll be back 15% stronger than before.

As for a complete cycle... I would like to stay natural for at least 6 months of good solid lifting before taking anything. I say this because, it will allow me to lift thru any platue's I may have before I truly 'need' to take something to get over that really hard bump. Ya know? Besides, I want to make sure my intensity is ALWAYS there when I lift, and not some drug creating that effect for me. Believe me, I am well set for when the time comes though!

Thank you very much for the recovery wishes!
