Hello just joined, I am 39 and work as a heavy equipment operator. I spent 16 years in the Marine Corps as a 0351 anti tank assualtman. I was also a mountain climbing instructor, Marksmanship instructor and recruiter (Not by choice) and I spent two years on the Marine Corps rifle & Pistol team. I was active duty for 12 years after a divorce I decided that I wanted to be around for my kids so I went into the active reserves 223 Port Hueneme. I was supposed to re enlist in Oct. right after Sept. 11 occurred but my new wife freaked out and begged me to get out. I respected her wishes after a half a dozen fights later and opted out. After leaving the corps. I got really lazy and stopped doing much of anything in the way of exercise. 10 months ago I took a good look at myself and did not like what I was looking at. I was drinking a twelve pack everyday after work and was smoking 2 to 3 packs of cigarettes a day. I decided to stop smoking cold turkey stopped drinking and picked the weights up again. I was 190 lbs @ 21% BF and my max bench at that time was 275 just starting out again. I am now 240 lbs @ 14% BF and can bench 400 lbs. My goal is to reach a personal best of 500 lbs on the bench then go on a hardcore cutting program. I want to make 500 before I turn 41 but the gains are starting to slow now so I know the next 100 lbs are going to be the real monster, lets see what happens.

Glad to be the first one to say welcome! Among being in the infantry, I also got to do the PMI deal after graduating the school. Sounds like you're interested in powerlifting. Our other mod Sleazy has been doing Westside which is one of the best.

Thanks; for the most part I just want to be strong. I am already starting to have issues with wiping my ass; at 260lbs I KNOW you understand that one

Welcome!
