Thanks Joker, my weight for the most part has only dropped a few pounds, but that's a good thing since I gained a lot more size according to the tape. The slower the melt the better lol.

Good job! Looking big.

Eric, I DO know you don't like any chest work, but I figured these are good to go because they're done in conjunction with light resistance bands. If anyone wants to really work to increase their bench, these are wonderful additions!

This first one is of me doing db presses (110s) plus the LIGHT resistance bands. My gym only carries up to 125's, which I finished by week 2.. So Wes came up with me incorperating the light bands to increase the weight of those puppies.

Off the chest feels like about 120, then about 140 + halfway up to lockout. I think these bands by themselves add 40 lbs of tonnage.

This one is of me doing weighted dips with the LIGHT resistance bands wrapped around my neck plus another 40 lb DB between my legs. Rediculous amounts of tension from beginning to end!! Add that to my 250 lb fatass and you've got yourself a little workout lol..

Now, now, you're putting words in my mouth .

You know what looks hard about the dumbell work to me is the band creating uneven tension on them. Impressive.

Watch that head posturing though...I know you were working hard.

I'm gonna be getting some bands soon.

Hell yeah, that was my fourth set! Saturday afternoon's are usually very sparse, so I finally found someone without looking too hard by then. It felt even. I set the bands behind my back with the DB's resting on my knees to make sure. For strength, I'll always (at least now) prefer the banded DB presses vs. without the bands. Same for dips. If I was working my chest, I wouldn't obviously use them.

I usually always staple the back of my head to the pad, but the bands wouldn't really allow it. It really helped me regain control of the DB's with the bands resisting.

I recommend the lights to start. I never saw a point for anything less.. Even abs pulldowns are fine with lights, in fact, I could use some average bands for those as well. I've found SOOO many uses for my bands it isn't even funny.

The only real must have's are a quality weight belt, bands (for everything), and a sled. I'm in the process of having one made. For my goals, a sled makes the most sense. I'm obviously not going to go run 5 K anymore lol.

I got mine at midwestbarbell.com. Very fast service, packaged well, and one of the cheapest places I've found. Susan's prices include shipping already. What I liked best about her is that all the prices are for a PAIR of bands. Other places for some reason prefer to sell individual bands which could potentially screw over people who don't read everything through.

Band III - 1 1/8"" width, 25-80 lbs resistance, $45 (includes shipping)
Compare to Jumpstretch Light

Band IV - 1 3/4"" width, 50-120 lbs resistance, $53 (includes shipping)
Compare to Jumpstretch Average

Bands are very tough to beat as far as strength goes IMO. All the other things like boards and chains you can cut over at home depot. All my boards cost me $18.

I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

Thanks everyone!

Creatine, dextrose, whey, multi packs, and fish oil work wonders.

Not to mention all that food you eat.
