End of month 5 -progress
 
well i took some photos 2 nights ago on my progress after 5 months of working out (3 months of being really dedicated)

quick question, how do you overtrain?? i'm usually at the gym for about an hour and 45 mins, wondering if i'm almost pushing it? thanks

Over training is a personal thing. Being in the gym for 1hr and 45mins . What does that consist of ? Warm-up , aerobic training , anerobic training and cool down ?

Over training usually happens over time and here are some signs


•Washed-out feeling, tired, drained, lack of energy
•Mild leg soreness, general aches and pains
•Pain in muscles and joints
•Sudden drop in performance
•Insomnia
•Headaches
•Decreased immunity (increased number of colds, and sore throats)
•Decrease in training capacity / intensity
•Moodiness and irritability
•Depression
•Loss of enthusiasm for the sport
•Decreased appetite
•Increased incidence of injuries.
•A compulsive need to exercise

If you feel that you have been overtraining then take some time off.

How long have you been going to the gym without time off ? Do you do 1hr and 45mins 5 days a week ?

Over-training is usually brought on by to many sets and to many moves. A lot of people start to hard to early, and can actually slow their progress. I.E. trying to build large bi's with 3 sets of 5 moves without a building progression will over-train and risk injury with little pay off.
