Here's my opinion. You have a little muscle, but I wouldn't worry about trying to retain it. I'd focus instead on only dropping fat via lots of cardio (6 days per week) and 6-8 small meals with emphasis on protein.

Too many people on these forums prefer to focus everything around maintaining muscle mass while cutting. That's fine and dandy if you're 10-20% while carrying a lot of muscle. I've seen some GREAT success from a few people just focusing on losing all that extra fat first, then shifting the focus to muscle gain. Unless you're really experienced or have a reasonable bodyfat percentage, I wouldn't try to do anything other than cutting bodyfat.

Weight training can/should still happen as well. You could do three full body workouts per week (M,W,F) keeping the reps on the low side to increase strength.. OR you could construct a circuit training course. A circuit could be something simple: squats, pullups, pushups, rest.

thanks much appreciated, i have a fair amount of experience but not enough to deem myself an expert, and losing the fat is more important to me than retaining the muscle right now, i think it's easier to the muscle on than lose fat(for me anyways) And once i lose the fat, and then gain the muslce it'll look that much better.

Are any supplements, far as fat burning worth taking?

Check out the Leviathin journals in the supplement testers forum. We have a few testing that out.

Fish oil #1. I take 10-15 grams a day myself. Other than that, I'd recommend green tea as well. Then again, I'm very big on NOT using stimulants in general. But, if that's something you don't care about, you could stack ephedrine and caffiene.. Lots of people seem to really like that.

Glad to see that you are getting back into taking care of your body. You had a good physique in your before pictures and im sure you can get back to that and better. Atleast you have been there before so you know you are capable of achieving that again. Best of luck to you and keep us updated and your progress.

I have to agree 100% with this....As for supplements/fat burner. Leviathin is working very good for me ..It's only been 9 days, and I'm trying different ways of attach, but I have lost 2lbs(as of day 5).

TALO's Sig:"But when do you actually grow? Well, we don't grow in the gym. In the gym, we destroy. We tear down the body. We only grow when we are recovering. That's right, I said recovery. I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

Everything you ever wanted to know about Fish Oil HERE

basicly it helps with fat loss, and body recomposition. Along the same lines i'd reccomend some Sesamin, or MAN Nutrition makes a product called Vaporize, that is both fish oil and sesamin together.

As far as stims go, I'd say revise your diet, and hit the gym hard for atleast 6 weeks before you even consider Leviathan, or another stim. The reason I say that is because you will lose fat quickly right off the bat, and the last few pounds are always a bitch, so save the stims for when the going gets tougher.

nice ink btw man.
