Pics of my fatloss

Hi guys, I did a quick introduction in the member introduction secion. What i'd like to do is increase my build overall. I'm 6' tall, weigh 168 pounds at about 10% body fat. It's hard to tell how much lean mass I want to add at this point, but i'm thinking 190 pounds at 10% bodyfat would be good for me. I'm very new to this, so shoot me some advice................

here are the pics of my fatloss journey.

That is kickass progress, look like a whole new person, and years younger.

I'd be interested as well to see your diet, training, and supplementation plan that you used throughout your transformation

Great job!

Thanks guys:) Well, the first 3 months I was on a low carb/low fat diet. I cut out cheese, mayo, ice cream, sweets and all fast food completely. I was (and still am) eating alot of tuna and chicken. 1 slim fast in the morning, a truckload of water all day long, apples, grapefruits, loads of steamed vegetables. I was road biking from the beginning. At first I was only able to do 6 mile rides maybe 2-3 times week. As the fat came off, and my physical condition improved, I increased the bike riding through the weeks. Now i'm doing about 120 miles a week on the bike (four 30 mile rides a week), and for the past month i've been weight training. I do sit ups and crunches 3 times a week.
As far as my weight training goes, I don't really know what i'm doing, i'm almost certain my nutrition is way off to put on the lean muscle mass that i'm looking for. I started taking protein powder when I started working out about a month ago now. I'm an easy gainer when it come to fat, it doesn't seem muscle is going to come as easily.......

You're certainly not the only one! :)

Just don't get discouraged. Fat loss is fast, muscle building is slow in relation to one another.

Here are some muscle shots. I'm on month 5 since I started. My skin overall is still loose from being fat, but it is tightening slowly. I want to get bigger, but I dont know what I can expect at 36 years old. here are some basic stats ....

Height 6'
weight 168 pounds
bodyfat 7% (according to nutri tracker calipers on a 7 site test)
arms 14"
chest 42"
waist 32"
bench 220 pounds max

Dr X 07-28-2006 07:33 PM

Great job. Don't cut anymore, time to start adding some bulk.

I'm impressed.

Stringskip 07-28-2006 08:48 PM

Thanks guys. Yeah, i'm done cutting, I want to bulk up. I started a higher protein diet about a month ago, and I eat enough carbs to power me strong through my workouts. I'm having some good strength gains so far, but my muscle size seems the same. Perhaps I need to up the weight and lower the reps in my workouts??

sweilem 07-29-2006 11:34 AM

Great example, thanks, motivating

Not necessarily. Strength gains can come from neural advances in the beginning. It your getting stonger then you should probably keep doing what you are doing...size should follow. Of course wouldn't hurt to post your routine in the training section. (Sorry if you've already done this).

sweilem 07-29-2006 01:33 PM

i think (not from my experience, but from the huge amount of info i read) that you should lift heavy to gain weights along with high protein diet, i would suggest l-crinitine with HMB they both give you 200% more results. after all it all your will and determination. we hope we see your new pics acheving your aim.cheers!

Stringskip 08-05-2006 04:35 PM

I took advantage of my girlfriend being home today...I told her to take the pic when i started making funny faces!!

CrazyShane 08-07-2006 11:47 AM

Look great bro, keep it up, it seems you have set a good foundation with that diet. You have learned a lot or else you would not be seeing those results. Use what you have learned about diet and add to your training knowlede and I am sure muscle building results will follow..NICE JOB!

Stingray 09-02-2006 01:15 PM

where are the pics bro?

EricT 09-02-2006 02:05 PM
