| Apoc, What government level are you trying for: city, county, state, federal? I also thought you were in college in Ga. Are you going to try and finish your degree? I hope so, it will be hard but know it is possible if you work it out with your department. Good luck with the academy. |

| Rank: Bantamweight Experience: 10+ Years | I am going to be working for the county. Yes, of course I am going to finish college. I am just going to take a semester off and then I am going back. This job is just a quick fix, just trying to get my ass back in track. I just feel so sad when I look back at my life, I was the school validictorian, but hell, now I got a 2.89 GPA. Oh, well, only time will tell what it got in the sleeves for me. |

| Good luck! It's a great field to get into. I always say "Job Security!" Don't expect to get rich. I work my 40 hours + for the state, and have a lawn care business on the side. (mowing just started. Been working my arse off.) But, it's a real rewarding job. You won't save the world, but just helping people is very rewarding. I could do other things, and make more money. But, I love my job. You're already ahead of the game by being physically fit. It will only help you. Cuz, trust me some people will try you. Quote:

| Man don't even get me started on the pay officers get today. I could jump on a bitching soapbox for getting you guys some more money. Every officer I know has to pull an extra job of some sort to help make ends meet. I agree some people will try you no matter what. For some, if it hasn't happened before you have to put the cuffs on them, once they hear and feel the sound of the first cuff locking on the wrist, fight or flight kicks in and it's time to dance. Some friends of mine carry a sewing kick in their tactical bags in case their uniforms get ripped. That crap gets expensive replacing uniforms. Last edited by GuardDog; 04-10-2005 at 04:11 AM. |

| Rank: New Member | HAHA, funny how true it is that people who don't know a damn thing bout lifting ask, "how much ya benching?" And it is funny that no matter how ya answer, the reply is always, "wow that's a lot!" HAHA So, are ya sick of being told your a big boy? Caus ya are!!!! I like to hear that men do work their legs too though! HAHA See, guys like certain features on women, I can appreciate a great pair of trunks on a guy! lol Feel free to check my pics in member photos (all of ya)! Tell me what ya think....I know what it's like to be "big!" Cutting up can be fun if you do it slow enough. I'm crazy doing it in like 3.5 months. Kinda miss being swoll...lol Ok, wanted to say hi and be careful when you diet so you don't lose any of that fine hard muscle! |
