Anyone watch last night? Couple of thoughts come to mind: You live by the sword, you die by the sword AND Every dog has his day.
I say this because a couple of real true life warriors took brutal losses last night. I have nothing but respect for them just the same. What a perfect sport!

Talking Well said...

"Perfect Sport" indeed.

Hey Dean... I'm with you on the price of payperview... just google
to see the free replays. You'll have to search through all the crap... but it's worth saving $50.

I see all the fights for free this way.

for example:

griffin vs evans video
mir vs nogueira video
kongo vs al turk video
jackson vs silva video

Great fights... I hated to see Griffin loose... I really like him.

I'm glad Mir beat Nogueira because the rematch of Mir vs Brock Lesnar will be monumental. I pick Lesnar to win by knock out in the 2nd round.

I'm also glad Jackson beat Silva. Jackson is entertaining as hell to watch fight.

I don't do it often so I had to think long and hard before shelling out the $$$ for that pay per view. Here are some quick recap thoughts for those of you that didn't get to catch the fights.

Wanderlei and Rampage were just feelin each other out, just gettin juiced up to throw bombs when all of the sudden Rampage landed the most solid left hook I have eveb seen. Wanderlei was out before he hit the canvas. No joke, I thunk him dead. I love both fighters win lose or draw.

Griffin was in control of the entire fight. Granted he was just pulling off leg kicks, but they were freakin workin and Rashad did not know how to get inside. The fight ended suddenly when Rashad broke Griffin's guard and hammer fisted / ground n pounded him to death. It was ugly to watch. I love Griffin but he needs more to his game. Toughness alone won't get it done. Don't like Rashad but if he changed his cocky attitute I would.

Nogueira was on his bike the whole time trying to deal with Mirs greatly improved stand up. Nog looked like he wanted this fight on the ground (but no where else?). Mir looked sharp, Mir looked motivated, Mir whooped his ass. For the Nog lovers, it was very hard to watch him get knocked down that many times. Mir was respectful in victory. I like him, he is really growing on me. I will always love Nog but maybe time to stick to coaching?

I'm not much of a recap guy, so if anyone wants more specifics just ask.

....Mir V. Lesnar should be a national holiday, it will be in this house!

HAHAHAHAHAH.... I LOVE IT!!!!!!

I feel bad for Griffin... I know his head is hurting today. If you watch the fight in slow motion, you'll see that Griffin was KTFO, long before the ref noticed it. Griffin was on his side, arms almost guarding his head... so it looked like he was trying to defend himself... but he wasn't... he was out cold. Unfortunately, the ref wasn't on top of him and Griffin took some hard f'n hits before the ref finally realized what was going on.

A re-match would be bad-ass.

The rematch is probasbly rock solid. Cant believe the ref wasnt on top of it. He gets paid well to be on top of things like that.
