| Right now I am trying to get my body more ripped so I am eating 2400 or so calories a day of low fat and med carb foods with as much protein in the foods that I can squeeze in. My stomach still looks very wimpy and like jello even though I am 5'11 and weigh onlly 155lbs. I figure that if I keep my current workout program(so far lost 20 lbs on it) then I will turn the goo around my stomach into muscle. Should I try anything new or should I just keep at what I am doing? I have been on my program for about a year and besides my stomach the rest of my body is lean but muscular. I was thinking about increasing the amount of fat I intake so I can consume more red meats because currently I don't eat any but if I did I would eat more protein and less carbs so would this be a good idea?? |

Gender: | A good way to shed bodyfat in a short period of time is a CKD diet. Many people on this board have done it and had great experiences including me. The only thing is that it gets old pretty fast even with the carb refeeds, but if done right it works wonders for quick fatloss. Do a search for it and there should be some good information. One thing to keep in mind is that you need at least 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per Lean body mass for muscle maintenance/growth otherwise your weightloss could be including large amounts of muscle. Just keep enough healthy fats in your meals so your body doesn't convert the protein to glucose and use it for fuel. |

Gender: | If your only 155 lbs then you will need to lower your calories some. You also should vary your caloric intake day by day so your body dosen't adjust to any particular amount of calories and slow it metabolism. CKD is a great diet by the way. |
