Talking Banana's

I ran into an old colleague of mine the other day, and since he is a powerlifter (he went to whales as member of the dutch national team and participated in the EC), i thought it would be a good person to ask for some info.

Then he gave me some info. I was almost as shocked as the first time i found out this "little" guy (that weighs less then 150 lbs.) does a 220kg (=484 lbs.) benchpress, when he told me that i should eat 5 pounds of banana's (?!?) and 2,5 pint of cottage cheese on daily bases (?!?) [ alongside with some other tips like basically just eating more, adding lots of oatmeal to my breakfast, eating as much meat, warm meals as possible and so on..].

The thing is this guy is like 5 foot tall, weighs a bit less then 150 lbs, doesn't take supplements, doesn't use any kind of AAS...

..and for a guy his height/weight he has a very dry, muscular body with no fat whatsoever, by just lifting and eating (inhumanly-) much. (he used to be skinny as hell when he was young)

And did i mention he does a benchpress more then 3 times his own weight?!?!

As I said, it's an old colleague of mine; I have actually seen this guy come to work at 9 in the morning and eat like 12 sandwiches and 12 banana's before 1pm!

I wonder if these are the exceptional creatures of mother nature.. or can any one make this strength and optical transformation take place with the right motivaton?

Maybe it's all just a combination of consistency and lots of banana's... :

There used to be a guy at the local gym that was quite strong with his legs as I remember. He wasn't huge but he was tall and lean.

Usually, I am accustomed to the stronger guys being larger in muscular size. But I guess some people break rules such as this.

I keep bananas in stock at the house all the time. It's cheap nutrition.

Yeah.. But that guy could eat anything and never gained fat.. I remember once they had put a few pie's on some occasion in the staff-area and there was a note to him saying "Please don't eat all 3 of them, the rest may want some too.."

These are always the guys who see after a few years and just wonder wtf happened. Most of the people who could eat anything when they were young have such horrible eating habits that once their daily activities and metabolism slow down they balloon up to some horrible advertisement for McDonalds.

Seems ridiculous that this guys eats 5 lbs of bananas a day. Based off the average bananas "flesh" he would have to eat around 20 a day...not to mention the calories would be over 2,000 in just bananas.

I guess it's just hard for me to believe because I'm one of those who have to deprive themselves of carbs.
