| yeah I booze it up, but usually only on weekends. If I drink durring the week i wont get up for work, so i try to avoid that if at all possible. Personally I love lifting, MMA, and all kinds of shit, but I dont go overboard with anything anymore. If your too into your body you will be a social retard, if your too into drinking, you'll be a sloppy bastard. oh and just so everyone knows, especially boob, Guinness has 210 calories per pint, thats less then a glass of OJ. just understand that your body will burn the alcohol till its gone, so just about anything else you eat while drinking will be stored (hence your munchie comment was a good call brotha) |

Personally I don't drink as much as I use to. I was once like Kane aswell (while in College). Now it's just special days like this weekend July 1st, for us Canadians. If you don't think it's preventing growth, just wait untill you stop drinking, then you will see how much stronger you will be. | |

Gender: | Hey you know your liver metabolizes alcohol. And it's not turned into sugar. That's a myth. The only "carbs" in any alcoholic beverage is any other natural carbs present. Hell, distilled liquor or any kind is virtually carb free. In fact alcohol causes a dip in blood sugar. That is probably the explanation for the munchies. But your body cannot burn alcohol for fuel. The only thing to worry about with alcohol is the obvious thing to worry about with alcohol. Beer can obviously have a lot of calories and it can add up, but not because it's like drinking sugar water or something. It's all fairly low GI. Even wine. |

Gender: | Ok I see what your saying. But all that is about acetate and the idea that your body likes to burn acetate for energy better than buring fat. But so what. It also likes to burn table sugar for energy better than it likes to burn fat. It's still calories. But there was a study showing that alcohol directly decreased lipid oxidation by 73 percent in some men. But they were comparing it to SUGAR FREE lemonade. So duh...if they had compared it with something with the same amount of empty calories..... So what I'm saying, just to play the devil's advocate, is that 210 calories is a lot of calories for a beverage. Twice as much as a 20 ounce coke or pepsi. And the shit just isn't good for you. Grow up and face it. Don't drink so much of it and if you can't not drink so much of it then all the info about how much eveyone else drinks isn't going to make it any less than what it is. |
