Default Eating Egg Yolks

I have been eating my egg whites for a long time now and basically avoided the yolks all together as I wanted to avoid the fat. But during a recent trip I brought along Arnold's Body Building Encyclopedia and he says that you miss out on alot of the benefits of the eggs by skipping the yolk. This includes vitamins, healthy fats, and half the protein that is in the egg.

So do you guys eat the yolks or just whites? Besides adjusting your diet to calculate the extra calories, it seems to make sense to eat them whole. I think I am going to make the switch to whole eggs unless anyone can convince me otherwise :P

ALWAYS eat the yolk... whats the point of eating an egg otherwise? i'd eat nothing BUT the yolk if it came that way. i always love it when i crack an egg and its a double-yolker

Ya, I must have got caught in the trend of just eating the whites. Most peoples journals only list them eating the egg whites too, so at least I'm not alone.

i eat the whole egg all the time also..but recently i thought about it and wondered isnt this really bad for u (eating like 3 whole eggs a day) for cholostrol reasons?

the cholesterol you eat doesn't magically go into your blood stream... eat all the eggs you want

soo say every morning you ate 3-4 eggs you'll still be healthy no fear of what ever? Also how many shakes a day is too much?

eggs will hardly kill you... they are a great source of choline as well.

True, processed foods suck
I eat eggs every other day. I have 3 hard boiled eggs waiting to be eatin in my bag. In the morning, I will usually split open 10, and make some scrambled eggs, throw on some salt and pepper, maybe some hot sauce. hot damn. I always eat the whole egg. The only time I wont eat a yolk is if it is a hard boiled, and its discolored, or if the previous ones were to chalky tasting. The yolk is half the egg, lots of waste.

thats alot of eggs...and since your still alive i guess there is no harm in eating eggs every day
