Default Fat Free Cream Cheese or Cottage Cheese

Every few weeks I get a hankering for a fresh Whole Wheat Bagel. I usually put fat free cottage cheese on it. However, i have discovered that Fat Free Cream cheese exists.

Would this be a good alternative? or is Cottage cheese more beneficial? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

IMO fat free cottage cheese tastes like crap. Just get 1% milkfat, it won't kill your gains. I tried just about every fat free milk product. The only one I still use is skim milk.

I would just get a low fat cream cheese or not use any. You need fats in your diet and its best to get them in the first couple meals of your day, but if your worried a couple extra grams of fat is going to destroy your progress, just omit the cream cheese. I personally put peanut butter on my whole wheat english muffins for breakfast.

Wait, isn't this event only happening once every few weeks? It's probably not a big deal... I'd stay away from cream cheese generally myself, but I don't think it'll kill your gains at all.

How exactly will fats kill your gains? The problem with all this fat free shit is that if you take the fat out of something, you need to replace it with something ... and its usually carbs, shitty carbs.

Cream cheese isnt "Bad" for you, especially if you have it once every few weeks.

Thanks for the input guys, this week I actually put fat free cottage cheese on my bagel. Not bad! The bagel was so good so it really didn't matter what I put on it...
