Default Fibre

I have just resently added all bran to my diet. This has 12g of fiber per 1/2 cup. I am finding without it , it is very hard to hit the 25 - 30g recomended intake. I'm just wondering your thoughts on this. How do you get your daily intake or do you even care ?

I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

I don't really care...it just happens to be over 25g per day. I'm glad it does, but I wouldn't supplement if it didn't.

I honestly do not know exactly what my intake is and since everything works like it is supposed to I don't pay too much attention to it.

All bran tastes like shit, looks like bird food, but worse. I happen get my carbs from whole grain foods, like brown rice, whole wheat pasta, oatmeal, bran flakes, whole wheat bread (not the generic shit),which all have decent amounts of fiber and I'm not even trying to choke down all bran. Even apples have fiber. I pasted a link that should help you ALOT. I even added it to my faves. Good luck with that all bran LOL

I eat lots of fibrous fruits - oranges, apples, things like that. Also, I love prunes. Love love love love love prunes. When my weight allows it I eat about 30 a day at 3g/5prunes (so 18g right there). Prunes are gooooood stuff. And yeah, I always get at least 25g, usually closer to 35-40g.

nice link J-Rock....All bran to me dosen't have much of a taste. I mix it with yogurt (sometimes) that helps.

I just add Psyllium Husk powder into one or two of my shakes a day along with my fibrous veggies like green beans and broccoli.... necessary for me to keep things moving since I'm on a low carb diet.

Never really counted how much dietary fiber I consume a day though, but the benefits probably make it worth while.

many benefits for fiber. one of those things that your body cannot digest, yet uses to make everything more efficient. can't go wrong!
