Default Gatorade?

Right after a workout I feel like my muscles are craving to replenish them..but i have to drive like 10 minutes to get home..do i wait to make my blended whey shake or is it ok to drink gatorade or something of that nature before that? because we need "insulin" spike after a workout and gatorade would do the trick. let me knowww!

It won't hurt you to drink gatorade. But 10 minutes is no big deal. Don't sweat it so much it doesn't matter to that extent.

Your muslces need sugars right after you lift, maltodextrin/dextrose are perfect, and they are in gatorade. If you get done lifting and throw back a bottle of gatorade thats cool, just dont add carbs to your whey when you get home, or atleast take into account what the gatorade has before you add more to your whey shake.

You should at least be sipping some water during your workout then. You really shouldn't feel THAT dehydrated. You need to be hydrated to have a good workout. This is very important and dehydration will SAP your strength.

You might want to leave the peanut butter out because the fat will slow the digestion of the protein.

Oh right. I don't ever sweat

Are your drinking ice cold water?

I don't know why you would need fats after a workout. You can have fats in the follow up meal.

Good question about the ice water.

Here's another: Do you make sure that you're hydrated before you get to the gym? By that I mean drinking a bottle or two of water an hour or so before you work out. If you're dehydrated when you start, then you have already screwed yourself.
