Default Grocery shopping

Ok so I have an empty refridgerator in my basement..waiting to be used..I work part time and go to school and don't dorm so I'm always home for the most part. My mom sucks at shopping and buys the shit that we shouldn't eat..I was thinking that maybe it's time for my 19 year old ass to grow up and stop living off mommy and take control of my health so I don't cheat during the day..I try to save my money but i figure i can spend at least 50 bucks a month of stuff that's beneficial to me and keep it downstairs where my room is..this is smart correct?? i just feel like i have to do this if i want to pursue bodybuilding and build a harder and leaner physique..i love going into stores and just looking so i feel like i need to start buying more stuff on my own. let me know how u guys do it..i tend to be a cheap ass but i feel so much better when i eat clean all the time and know the nutrients im getting are beneficial in everyway possible!

That is a good plan.

What a lot of us tend to do is go to a warehouse club like BJ's or Sam's Club. Costco can work also but IME they tend to have more fancy gourmet stuff and less of the nuts and bolts you need. You have to pay for a membership but it's entirely worth it. You can stock up on big packages of thing like chicken breasts....

I take it this fridge has a freezer compartment...

Eric3237's Sig:"Not everyone trains for strength": True. Not everyone one is smart either. Personally, I'm training to be an olympic sprinter so I can have big legs. I also like to move huge boulders because I like the way they look over there...

It's good to see that you're getting serious about it. No reason not to buy stuff. If you can, get mom to start cooking healthier. Cook some of the meals for the family...that way you will end up saving some money. You can educate them a bit and maybe they'll actually like it.

I buy in bulk. Steaks and chicken breast. I also buy lots of cottage cheese, milk, and frozen veggies. That's just the refrigerated stuff though..

THAT'S YOUR BEST DAY." - A very wise man

Heh, I suck money from my mom. I tell her what I want, and she buys it, as long as I massage her feet every other night before she goes to work. But on my last paycheck of 350 dollars I spent about 30 dollars on some food things, and about 120 on whey protein, animal cuts, knee joint stuff, and I got the weightlifting/bodybuilding bible, the shwartzeinegger one...I bet I spelt his name wrong.

But I am 19 also and have my own fridge in my room..but its a extra to store food. But once the summer comes, gonna start to use it myself.

Goals: Reach 190, 8 percent BF (by sept, oct, wanna get 4% for a teen bodybuilding competition)

Squat over 400, bench 300, Deadlift 350 (in which I doubt I will be able to do) but I shall PUSH myself!
