Default maltodextrin calories...

so i got some sugar free energy drinks to take before the workout...and maltodextrin is listed as an ingredient...yet the drink has 0 calories.

so i'm curious if i should count the calories of the 20 grams of malto i have after the workout? or....is it worth zero calories?

1gr carbs - 4cal
1gr pro - 4cal
1gr fat - 9 cal

I would count it...it is what it is. They probably mean 0 cals from sugar or something like that...since it's sugar free. Don't you wish that people didn't put misleading shit on their labels?

EDIT: What do you mean after the workout? You're having the drink before, right? The time frames you listed have me confused.

If it's listed as a zero calorie drink, don't stress over it.

Even though it says zero cals, there's probably a little in there. But it's negligable.

Wow, just read that again and it makes perfect sense. So yeah, count the 20 gr after.
