You need 1-2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. You need to be getting most of your protein from your diet. Like Eric said somewhere sometime (don't remember where), you're not going to make or break your diet with protein shakes. You DO need protein after your workout though. You need protein on off days too...your body is still recovering/growing. |

For me, my body hates sugar free compounds. I get headaches. So I had to look for a brand of protein powder that had no sugar and no sugar-free substitutes in them. And believe me, those are hard to find! NONE of the local stores had them. But I did find the perfect brand on the Internet. I think most of the powders out there have too much crap in it that is not helpful to your body. | |
