15-25 grams pre-workout
20-50 grams post workout

something like that...I do one scoop an hour before and two scoops within an hour after.

You need 1-2 grams of protein per pound of body weight. You need to be getting most of your protein from your diet. Like Eric said somewhere sometime (don't remember where), you're not going to make or break your diet with protein shakes. You DO need protein after your workout though.

You need protein on off days too...your body is still recovering/growing.

Like some of the posters said, if you don't know what it is, get the whey protein powders that has the least amount of crap in it.

For me, my body hates sugar free compounds. I get headaches. So I had to look for a brand of protein powder that had no sugar and no sugar-free substitutes in them.

And believe me, those are hard to find! NONE of the local stores had them. But I did find the perfect brand on the Internet.

I think most of the powders out there have too much crap in it that is not helpful to your body.

Eric was kind enough to remove my little affiliate link. Don't know how that got there.
