Default Need multi-vitamin with NO VITAMIN D

Having a hard time finding one. If anyone knows of one or comes across one, please let me know.

I'm not supposed to have any supplemental vit D in my diet. I've been ignoring this for a while and upon looking up the symptoms for vit D toxicity I realize I have a lot of them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

How did you find out you are in toxic levels of D?

I don't know if this can help but I read vitamin A protects against vitamin D toxicity and D protects against vitamin A toxicity.

Oh, sorry Dave, I haven't found that out for sure. I am merely getting some of the symptoms. There are lots of other symptoms I am not getting. I made an appointment and my doctor is going to check. It's time for blood work anyway and she monitors this (don't ask me how) among other things.

I have Sarcoidosis which results in excess Vitamin D production. Bottom line is I am not supposed to be getting supplemental Vitamin D so regardless if I am actually at toxic levels or not, I want to get on this. Milk is a problem too, but I figure at LEAST I need to cut out my multi which has 100% RDA.

Thanks, Wanting! Just the kind of info I need. I'll look into this right away. That was my next step....finding out ways to control it.

From what I can get off the internet most of it just suggests going to physician. Most of the information about it is all the same and treatments say to just go off Vitamin D, not much help. Anyway good luck with your tests.

Yeah, I have my doctor's home number! Unfortunately this is not something the medical establishment knows much about and I even went to a "Sarcoid Specialist". If it doesn't resolve on it's on, you're looking at a lifetime of corticosteroids which equals a much reduced lifetime. However I am finding a LOT of new stuff, studies lately which I am e-mailing to my doctor. Looks like Vitamin D may be a bigger problem then I thought so I MUST get on that.

In general, I'm finding the same things you are though. Wanting, thanks for looking. I SINCERELY appreciate that!

I just found a fanstastic study on Vit D and sarcoid, btw, should have done this kind of search before.

Def. some blood work is a good idea.

Also, certain vit. and min. toxicities symptoms are very similar along with deficiencies, so the blood work will pin point it.

in case you haven't found this in your searching. This is my favorite site for finding info on chemicals and vitamins that are in supplements.

It's in the RESEARCH SUMMARY section.

Nice!

I get regular blood workups. I just got one recently. But I don't think she checked my vit D that time. That's why I'm going to talk to her about all this and have been sending her info...for the most part the high vit D levels are just an afterthought, you know what I mean?

I've been to that site before but I haven't looked up a lot on it. Thanks for that info. I'll start reading right away.

Thank you, Dave. Great help, guys. You have know idea how much I appreciate it.
