Gender: | You must of laughed your head off Monsta!! I bought a box of chicken at Costco yesterday, it was 30$ for 16 breasts, it was 7.5$ a kilo. They also have protein bars in the candy section, 14$ or 15$ for 16 bars. probably not the best Whey protein but I guess its better than a candy bar....or is it? Its between 5g and 8g of fat, 40g-42g of carbohydrates, 27g sugur, and 23g protein. There called Bio Protein, anyone ever bought those? |

Gender: | Beans are pretty cheap too. I bought Goya black, pinto and kidney beans in cans. Per gram of protein I think chicken has them beat price wise. At least for canned beans. Large bags of uncooked beans may be cheaper/gram of protein than chicken. |

| +1 on Riley's post. I am actually eating some black-eyes right now. I love them, and the band! Back on track...I buy beans in bags-less sodium/chemicals, and cheaper. At Sun Harvest-it's a natural-living/organic-type of grocery store, I get a protein powder from the self-serve section. It is white, and for the most part, it resembles cornstarch. I combined a cup of dry beans with about a cup of h2o, 1/4 onion, some garlic flakes, and a cubed yellow squash, boiled it all, and then while it was cooling down, I added some of the protein powder, for an extra kick. I personally love it! |

Gender: | some things that i have found useful at work are 1) natural yoghurt mixed up with whey protein you can add different flavours so its always different 2) i tend to make up my tuna with beans and then a sauce and have it in a pita bread if you change the sauce you change the taste of the tune 3) i will sometimes mash up my eggs and mix with little salad cream or mayonaise but if you want an extra protein kick and some healthy fats i now go for ricotta cheese with it it tastes so good but is also good for you 4) i will cook up a load of chicken breasts and marinate them in different sauces over night in the fridge that way you dont get so bored of the taste of chicken and your not adding loads of crap either, i slice it all up and then just bought a toaster for my desk at work and toast up a pita bread and put it in there. 5) i have a range of different whey protein shakes that just mean i can take in different flavours on different days so its a bit different. 6) like IK said i also make up my meals at night (e.g. chilli, spag bol) in extra big pots so taht way i can just freeze them into portions and then just need a mircowave to heat them up in 7) jacket potatoes are great to give things a different taste as well - be it egg, chicken, prawns, fish or anything else if you alternate bread, jacket potato (again just 15-20 mins in a mircowave and its cooked) or anything like that just adds variety to something that might otherwise get boring. Just thought i would share for a change as i have had to do so much experimenting with my diet recently, hope some of that helps. P.S monsta at least she thought it was the chic next to her and not you that made the smell ;-) that would have been embarrasing lol |

| Hard boiled eggs, protein shakes/bars, leftover chicken/steak, and tuna pouches are a must. All are quick and easy protein solutions. I have also found pre-cooked Italian style turkey meatballs in the refrigerated meat section of the grocery store that are not bad for a quick snack. |
