Default Protein intake while at work

Hi,

I was wondering if everyone could share their tips on how to maintain a protein intake every 2.5hrs or so while at work. Does everyone bring individually wrapped servings of meat to eat throughout the workday or do people make multiple protein shakes to bring to work? Thanks.

Riley

I bring the following things:
protein bars
tuna in pouches
food I cooked in the morning

I normally just cook extra in the morning.... Or the night before since I'm in the kitchen anyway.

I cook enough food to usually last me for 4 days. Then it all gets portioned out in tupperware. So if I'm going to be away from home, I just grab those meals from the fridge and go.

Getting one of those little soft coolers is a good investment.

I do exactly the same.
Every morning I grill up about 100 grams of protein (chicken steak or pork) which I bring to work in styrofoam takeout containers that I bought in a bulk store. I Eat it in three portions. The rest of my intake comes in the form of snacking on protein bars, tuna packs, and I usually keep a package of cold cuts (turkey or ham) in the frige at all times. I try to consume 150 grams or more in the 9 or so hours im at work by eating about every 2 hours.

My job has a kitchen so I can cook while at work. I bring ground beef , eggs , chicken or whatever I want. Sure helps me spend more time with the fam outside the kitchen.

TALO's Sig:"But when do you actually grow? Well, we don't grow in the gym. In the gym, we destroy. We tear down the body. We only grow when we are recovering. That's right, I said recovery. I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"

I rather have whey during the day...whether it's a bar or shake. It just keeps blood amino acid levels higher than casein. So if I were you, I would be sure to check labels. Supreme Protein bars taste awesome and they're whey. They're expensive though. I don't really know what to recommend because I get all of my stuff for cheap...I got 97 assorted protein bars for $12 a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks.

Has everyone found that chicken breast has the lowest cost/gram of protein? Costco sells large bags of 99% fat free chicken breasts for about 2.19/lb if I remember correctly. Does anyone know of a good and cheaper source of protein?

Chicken is your best bet. It's loaded with protein. And 2.19/lb is cheap as shit.
