| Rank: Member Experience: 3-5 Years | I was wondering what takes precedence over one another. Recently I've monitoring my intake for both. Ive been hitting my target protein intake which is around 300-350g/day, but I noticed my calories on some days are only 3000-3500. Should i be upping my cals? Used to hit around 4000+ but due to new schedule it hasn't been the same. ![]() |

Gender: | I think it's good that your hitting the protein mark. But what are your goals ? By looking at what you have there I'm guessing your trying to put on lean weight. How much do you weigh now ? Where are you getting your protein from ? Looking at this, there isin't much carbs, so you could always increase them. Maybe 600g-700g (2400-2800 cals) Then you have to look at how much fat your taking in. 1g fat = 8 cals Some more detail would help. |

Protein intake: Meal 1: 4 eggs w/cheese+1 bagel- 45g Meal 2: 2 lean pockets- 30g Preworkout: 2 scoops Whey+1 bagel- 60g Postworkout: 2 scoops Whey+1 bagel-60g Meal 5: Pasta+ 1 chicken breast- 50g Meal 6- 2 chicken breasts- 60g Meal 7- 1 scoop Whey- 25g Basically that sums it up..ill substitute some meats with others for variety. Fat intake is anywhere from 80-130g and carbs are around 350-450g | |

Gender: | You should try and take in more carbs and more protein, but from real food. Meal 6 -2 chicken breasts = 60g of protein, but Meal 5 only 1 you have 50g....I know that the chicken breasts I eat only have 23g of protein in them. Your numbers are a little out, and that might be a reason your not putting on weight...Try to get it so you know exactly what your count is. Only suggestions man, not trying to bash you or anything. |
