Yeah but for natural guys we need SOMETHING to worry about

Some people do try to just inform themselves and make the most healthy choices possible within the confines of a successful bb'ing diet. Call it a side/related goal. Not me so much I'm somewhere in the middle . But I agree, as I think do most who have posted that it's not something to get overly worried about. Just in general if you can take something like tuna and make a better choice in terms of potential toxins why not do that? Of course that is VERY likely to completely destroy the whole advantage of it, as Monsta said, being so cheap. But at least a person can choose regular light over albacore..so it's something.

Information is power even if you don't always choose to use that power.

well first, it wouldnt be a healthy food if it could give you mercury poisoning. as far as i can remember poison isnt healthy. the whole point of this forum is to ask others who may have a better knowledge of these questions and to get legit opinions. there are people wanting to understand what are the POSSIBILTIES of anything going wrong.

second, there is no one complaining about it, just people asking others opinion.

third, i have no idea who you may be referring to when you talk about anyone smoking and drinking, but i have never in my life smoked or drank. in essence i can care less about who does it, but i post nutrition questions because i want to know about what i put in my body, whether it be a can of tuna or water from the faucet. you cant know and worry about everything, but there is noting wrong with having as much knowledge as possible.

i did not post this to start an arguement or offend you in anyway, but flat out i just felt as though that comment was.....................dumb.

^^^X2 It's not different than whether other people use roids or whatever. Just because some people do things that someone else doesn't doesn't mean that everything else becomes somehow magically perfect by comparison. I don't stand out in the middle of thunder storms because other people chase tornados.

If I say I eat copious amounts of corn pops will that make you feel better about your addiction to honey wheat puffs? I doubt it

BTW, Tuna if the other thing you are talking about is always like tuna in your experience then I feel for ya bro.

while i was looking through the canned meat section to pick up some tuna i found some canned chicken breast and canned turkey. i worked in a supermarket for 2 years and i never remembered seeing this stuff.

i say this because the canned chicken breast has about 25 grams of protein per can and only has around 170 mgs of sodium per can opposed to the 600 in tuna.

a bunch of you may already know about stuff like this. but i thought it would be a good idea to let a few people knwo about it just in case they wanted a change up.

the ones i baught are made by hormel, and i seen chicken and turkey. i found it right next to the tuna if anyone is interested

Try looking for frozen chicken breasts. I think they will save you just as much money. Some grocery stores have them plus you can find huge bags of them for cheap in clubs like Sam's and BJ's. Usually Tyson or Perdue.

The canned chicken is not so good, imo. It's hard to deal with more than a can a month

IMO means 'in my opinion'

a bunch of guys around here get the canned tuna and stuff at the dollar store. i think it costs 25 cents a can there. much better than i've seen it at any grocery store.
