has anyone here tried this? i've just started it this past week for 2006 and so far through the depletion phase i seem to be making good progress in terms of fat loss. will take a few weeks to quantify muscle gains with this approach, but it seems pretty solid. already have firmed up tremendously from my layoff from the gym during december

Yes, I've done UD.2 before. If you follow it to a "t" you will definitely see results. I did to get down to really low bodyfat and it worked rather well to say the least. Lyle knows his stuff and the diet shows. Lots of people have gotten really good results. Over at his forum that hrdgain mentioned, there is a forum specifically for UD.2 as well as a slew of training logs. Just make sure to follow it as stated and you won't be disappointed. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me. Good luck. I'm sure you're already salivating for the carb up

oh, the carbup was nice... i weighed in the day after the carbup and had actually gained 3lbs since i had started (all water/glycogen im sure). friday night i went out with my girl and we had dinner while i started my carb up... OMG, i felt like my chest/back/arms were gonna bust my shirt!! it was great. had to split up my strength workout as my body just isnt' usied to the CNS exertion needed to get through that workout. gonna finish it up tonight. will try it again this week. i think i just need to get my body used to that type of workout. hit chest/back/sholders and just had nothing left when i got to legs/arms... am thinking about splitting up the 2 depletion workouts and doing 1/2 body each day instead of full body both days... i think i'll be able to better deplete the muscles before running out of steam that way. will definitly check out Lyle's board. i can see this diet working very well for me once i get acclimated to the workouts.

Yeah, those carb up days rock. I would gain about 5-7 lbs. from Thursday night to Saturday. During the power workouts on Saturday, my muscles felt so tight, like springs. Good stuff... I would encourage you not to split the depletion workouts up. Follow it according to the book. But that's just me and I'm kind of OCD when it comes to that kind of stuff. Those workouts will actually get easier as time goes on and your body adapts to that kind of training. Tough it out and it will get easier.

im into the 3rd week and im still adapting to the workouts... weighed in last night and i was down about 1lb since i started, but bf% (taken by the electric scale how accurate that really is i'm not sure b/c it registers as 23%bf (started at 25%) when realistically im much closer to 11-12%. abs are starting to come in and i don't usually see them until i get to 10% or under. i can see dramatic improvements in teh mirror. this diet/routine is tough, but i like it

Yeah it's tough but like he says, if you want superior results you have to put in superior effort. I don't miss those depletion days/workouts. I'll probably do another go'round later in the year. Right now, I'm doing his bulking routine although I've toyed with the idea of doing the mass gaining variant of UD2.
