If you're trying to say he should do a keto diet, then say that. He doesn't need less carbs and more fat otherwise. Explain your logic.

yea i also posted on another forum and they told me lower the protien and add more carbs

Check out Tom Venuto's Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle eBook. I was confused until I read it. Tom is very thorough and brings together all sorts of concepts.

The part I liked is where he focuses on calorie consumption versus calorie expenditure and how a calorie is not just a calorie. He mentions the various diets and how you can get confused as to whether you should have high protein/low carb or high carb/low protein.

It seems that a lot of the different diets plans are effective for certain people but marketing people like "one size fits all" advertising.

The bottom line is that it depends upon your own body. Endomorphs tend to be sensitive to carbs and can gain weight eating more carbs even if calorie intake is unchanged.

al the fat i consume are so called good fats the figure i have put down is the overall fat it is not the saturated fat

Fat is the most calorie dense macronutrient, so decreasing fat means you'll decrease calories with fewer grams than if you did it with protein or carbs. That's why fat should go in favour of protein, imo. Plus protein is more 'useful' than fat in terms of building and maintaining muscle.

If given the choice of which surplus to cut, barring any type of special diet plan (keto, tcd, etc.), fat would be first to go.
