Default Bulking and Sweets

I have a question that I hope you kind people can help me with. My main body goal right now is to put on muscle. However, I have a sweet tooth that draws me to all things sugar-related. I certainly know that sugar is generally bad, for a myriad of reasons. But I'm curious as to its specific relationship with bulking. I've heard that you should stay away from sugar because insulin inhibits the release of growth hormone. So I guess my question is just how much truth is there to this? Practically speaking, will the devouring of cookies and cola have a noticeable or dramatic effect on my bulking endeavors?

Just do a clean and healthy bulk, it leads to better results. The more you indulge in foods, the more often you will want to do it again. Trust me

I've got the same problem, you can get a sugar fix from fruits... I like apples and almond butter, cherries with dark chocolate but of course in limitations... Remember it's a fix not a meal... Eating fruits have so many benefits as far as aiding recovery and by adding NO that may push nutrients through your body...

Start making these little changes and it'll lead to wiser decisions at the supermarket. It's simple, eat clean look clean and eat bad look bad. Good luck!

^^^ Agreed, the more you give in to the temptations for sugary snacks, the more and more your body will start to crave them. There are plenty of options to get a quick fix if you must. As mentioned, fruits and dark chocolate are excellent choices, with good benefits along with them.
Since you are bulking tho, just remember that if you want to have one of your favorite snacks once in a while, go for it. Just don't over indulge every day, it'll just lead to excess body fat that will more work to get rid of in the long run.
