Wait, doesn't alcohol prevent testosterone production?

hrdgain81 05-09-2008 05:53 AM

Prevent? No ... lower, possibly but to what extent I dont know. but I can tell you I've never drank more in my life then the 4 years I was in college, I've also never been leaner, or made more strength gains then in those years.

On the topic of beer calories, are they any different than say those of chicken?

Like say you have to meet a certain calorie level, would drinking beer get you there just like eating chicken would?

Talo, low carb doesnt really matter with beer. Once you have consumed alcohol, it is converted to ketones and used as fuel. so it kinda forces you into ketosis, so the carb count makes no difference really.

PM, no, cals from alcohol are treated completely different then cals from chicken/beef/pasta/anything else. See above.
