I cant Cut because I'm in college. I get food wit no label like an over the counter deli sandwich. I drink tea and water...only had soda 3 times in the past 2 months. What do i DO? I know to cut i need less calories then needed for maintenance. I know you gotta lift also so im not deviating from my plan, but my plan is a toss up between starting strength and this one from menshealth...i think im going wit S.S thinking about taking a thermogenic wit cardio, how many days a week do i do cardio...im trying to cut so 3?

take meat only, when you eat (no bread, etc). since there is no labels and you ARE cutting, eat only the vegetables and meat. vegetables won't make you fat and if you are eating enough meat you will preserve/gain muscle. makes sense to me anyway, but on the other hand i have never had to cut before.

Do what the rest of us do and make your own food, take it with you, if you are serious this is the only way to do it.
I highly doubt a few sandwiches here and there are going to make a difference anyhow.
Try adding 45 minutes of decent cardio every morning.
Thank you everyone...I am serious, dont take that wit a grain of salt. I would make my own food but i dont have an oven in my dorm all i have is a microwave and and a little fridge. I would love to make my own food that would be great, then i would only have to look up what i should eat and shouln't. Then follow a nice cardio program and a great weight training program and id be set. I could try to make my own food but i dont know how with just a microwave. Until you get your own place on campus it is probally going to be hard to really be able to follow a strict diet, its just the truth.
However, its not impossible. If you have a Foreman grill and some chicken breasts in the fridge you can easily put together alot of meals. Cook up some meat and veggies and add some some instant brown rice from the microwave (not the best but better than white) and you've got yourself a pretty good meal. For fats you can store natty peanut butter, avocados, olive oil, flax, fish oil, almonds, etc. Alot of these indoor grills now are big enough that you can make eggs and so forth on them. The pouches of tuna are also very conveinant to have on campus as you can just throw them in your bag and take them with you to class. These foods along with a tub of protein in your room should give you plenty of options.
Alot of the cafeterias on campus now have alot of healthy options and if its a pay for all you can eat type environment, snag some extra food and start stashing it in your room.
:biggthumpup: Sleazy those are just excellent ideas. A Foreman grill. Of course, it never would have occured to me. That, a little fridge, a microwave. You only need to be careful to not get caught, i.e. you have to clean that thing somewhere. Other than that, hell, you could even put Salmon on there.
I did that for a year and never got caught.
THANKS GUYS...Bout to walk to the groccery store stock up and use my suitemates forman grill, or order alot of grilled chicken and veggies from the cafe and reheat it in my room
I currently, and for the last nine months, live in a studio apartment in Bangkok with only an electric wok and a rice cooker.
If I can do it at a solid 140kgs then you can too.
A microwave? What a luxury.
Seriously if you want it you can have it, or you can be like 95% of the population and make up excuses why you can't.
