Yes I realize that, but why eat the extra fat if you don't have to..

I think for me personally, because I'm such a cheap azz, eggs are just more economical. I just can't see myself spending extra money for these tubs of egg whites. Even though eggs are cheap I still can't bring myself to throw out the yolks, to get the whites!

I was just trying to save you some cash Gary, but you make a good point about not wanting the extra fat.

I just try to look at different ways to save some moolah, and use my hard earned money to buy other supps that will help.

So, if this works for you Gary then more power to you! Peace!

Have any of you tried the egg whites in a tub? They're NASTY.

A trainer I used a while ago recommended them, so I got a vat. They're definately marketed to bodybuilders because they're fortified with extra protein. Don't remember how much, or what the brand was. But it was a white tub with a green label with a rooster on it. The rooster might have even been flexing his bicep.

Definately gross stuff. Although, most of it may have been mental - I was convinced I'd hate it before I even opended it. Threw it away after 2 servings (or more accurately.. I let it rot in my fridge for a few weeks after the second serving)

IMO cooked are more beneficial, for the simple fact that eating them raw raisse your chances of getting salmonella poisining.

I wonder if I can get tubs of eggs at the Sams warehouse store here. I don't have time to cook them in the mornings, but I wouldn't mind throwing them in the blender with the rest of my shakes. Hell, I used to eat raw eggs back in HS, so it wouldn't be anything new to me.

Think that's gross??? When I was training at the Jungle Warfare Training Center in Japan, we slaughtered live chickens for lunch. The gross part was that we all ate the eggs straight from the chicken while they were still developing. It was yellow with a bunch of veins all over them. I almost puked because it was still really hot inside my mouth. Now that's pure calories!

I have had Lanas egg whites and although the price and convenience is great they just don't taste quite right. I prefer to eat the whole egg anyway since I want the fat. I just recently had my colesterol checked and it was 168 which pisses off all my friends on how it could be so low when I eat 3 dozen whole eggs a week. And that's while cutting.
