Fitday might have met Its match.

I was looking around for the nutritional content for some emerald nuts I bought, mostly because the serving size was on the part that I ripped off, and I came across this site.

http://www.thedailyplate.com/

I started looking through it and was very impressed.
What do you guys think?

It has it's place. But I think the general consensus is that Fitday is better. A lot of the nutritional values are bogus. But! It lists a lot of stuff, especially restaurant-specific foods, that Fitday doesn't have. It got mentioned a lot a couple of months ago. I use Thedailyplate pretty often, but just to supplement the Fitday site. I suppose that everybody eats different foods though, so it might actually be better for some people than Fitday.

Could you give an example to which ones are bogus? I don't see it.
I'm still looking through this site to find what it does. One thing I like that fitday doesn't do, if it does then I'm wrong, is group the food into meals, i.e., breakfast, lunch, mid morning or day snacks, etc. Fitday allows you to make meals, which I'm still can't find on the daily plate.

<edit>

Found it. it's on the side of the profile page and it's a little complicated.

Someone just found that the grilled cheese sandwhich was screwy. I haven't seen anything else.

I have found about three or four other things also. If I come across them again, then I'll mention it. I looked up the nutritional values elsewhere and I think I saved them as custom foods on Fitday... If I didn't have 50-60 custom foods, then I would look them all up and see which they were.

Dave have you tried the Emerald Nuts "Cocoa Roast" almonds? I've been living on them for the last few weeks ever since I discovered them. :biglaugh:

They are just dusted with dark cocoa powder (not real chocolate) and they actually have better nutritional info than the regular roasted ones.

Well I'll have to try that, Sleazy. I haven't been crazy about the other flavors but that sounds interesting.

I just heard of them when I was searching for the roasted ones.

Have you ever tried the Blue Diamond almonds? I love the Jolopeno smokedhouse and the chilli and lime flavored ones. They are a little expensive but they taste great.
