Help - TUNA
Hi
I must admit every web site I have looked at says to eat Tuna in your diet as its good for you. I am trying to organize my diet but I can not stand Tuna. Anyone got suggestions what I could replace it with ?? |
No replacement...Tuna with salsa, tuna and lemon juice, tuna, mayo, and relish, and tuna burgers are good ways to overcome its grossness lol. Tuna burgers are a can of tuna, one egg, mixed together and thrown on the stove until the egg basically scrambles...add salt and pepper and it is actually tasty.

how about salmon or chicken

There are as many ways to eat tuna as you can imagine. However, I don't eat more than a couple cans of it a week. I usually just dump it over some brown rice and splash on some Tapatio <--- good stuff there.. I eat more Salmon and far more chicken than anything, consuming about 10-15 chicken breasts a week.

Salmon is a great replacement for Tuna. It's less dry and fishy. Also, you get great Omega 3 fatty acids from tuna as well.
I would not rulle tuna out completly since it's such a great food. High protien and low fat. Just try to keep eating some of it. At some point your body may develop a taste for it. I hated brussel sprouts when I was younger now I love it. |
Try mixing in some tuna with Chicken salad. It sort of masks the fishy flavor.

I personally think salmon taste more "fishy" then tuna. Salmon is good but tuna better for you. Go on line there are tons of recipes for tuna.
