Default Holidays And Food

The holidays are quickly approaching, and I'm curious to see how others deal with the growing number of temptations.

How do you deal with the pressure/questions of eating/not eating at holiday functions? Do you focus on the healthier foods offered, or give in an eat whatever you want?

Thoughts....

That's one way to do it.

What does anybody else do?

honestly I say fuck it. One day of binge eating isnt gonna make a bit of difference in the long run. I will be pounding down the turkey, stuffing, ect all day on thursday. then when friday rolls around its back to the usual ... no harm no faul.

..Or you could just eat super strict leading up to Thanksgiving, then use that day as a "cheat day". That's what I'm doing. I'm holding off on everything including sweets until that magical day.

I'll also probably do some early cardio to help speed up my metabolism before my meal.

All good points...

For me, given that I've been saying fuckit for about a month now, I'm probably going to take it easy during most of the week and not go too overboard on Thanksgiving. Maybe cut back on the # of sides and portion sizes, but kill the desserts.

Same here, on thursday. What's a cut? My grandma's turkey and biscuits and peacon pie.

My personal opinion on this is that if you keep resisting every single treat during the holidays, when you do give in you will most likely go overboard on it.

I personally have been cutting for quite a while now but plan on going all out on thanksgiving day. 1 day out of a 30 etc isn't going to make or break you unless you are preparing for a contest. Hell, if you do it right you might even give your metabolism a boost
