how alcohol affects gaining muscles?
Im new in this site!! I would like to ask about alcohol. For instance I'm going to work out.. especially for arms and chest muscles...but what if after 1 hour of training i eat my food then i drink beer? do u think it's gonna prevent me to gain muscle or no relation? thanks for reading...
Alcohol has the opposite effects that any powerlifter or bodybuilder is looking for ... it raises estrogen levels, increases fat storage potential, etc.
That said if you have a drink with a meal a couple times a week I think the negative effects will be minimal... If you go out and get smashed all the time then you should expect your gains to slowed if not stopped altogether.
Utlimately the more booze you cut out, the better ... but realistically a drink or two every now and then should have minimal effect.
That's my $.02.
If you do go out and drink, yolu should drink 1 gass of water per glass of alcohol, and try to drink low-calorie drinks like whiskey, and vodka..

Yeah alcohol is no good for muscle gain. If you are super serious about building muscle do not take in any alcohol at all!
